Clutch Perch Support 2024

The Lizzard Clutch Perch Support is a premium, billet aluminum component designed to safeguard the Brembo clutch master cylinders. 

This support is an easy-to-install replacement for your standard clutch master cylinder clamp on the handlebar. Its design fills the vulnerable space between the clutch master cylinder and the handlebar, significantly helping to prevent the master cylinder from bending inwards during a crash.

These instructions detail the installation of the Lizzard Clutch Perch Support and the Lizzard Brake/Clutch Bracket Repair Kit to both upgrade the top clamp and repair a broken lower clamp on your clutch master cylinder setup.

Required Components

• Lizzard Clutch Perch Support (Top Piece)

• Lizzard Brake/Clutch Bracket Repair Kit (Bottom Piece)

• Supplied long Allen key bolt (for top)

• Supplied bolts (for the Repair Kit)

Step 1: Prepare the Master Cylinder

1. If the original top clamp is still attached, remove the existing clamp bolts and take off the original top clamp.

2. Position the clutch master cylinder on the handlebar.

Step 2: Install the Clutch Perch Support (Top)

1. Take the Lizzard Clutch Perch Support (the new billet aluminum clamp piece).

2. Place the Clutch Perch Support onto the top part of the master cylinder where the original clamp was located.

3. Secure this top piece using the supplied long Allen key bolt, threading it into the master cylinder body.

Step 3: Install the Brake/Clutch Bracket Repair Kit (Bottom)

1. Take the Lizzard Brake/Clutch Bracket Repair Kit (the component designed to brace the broken part).

2. Position the Repair Kit over the broken original clamp on the bottom of the master cylinder perch.

3. Bolt the bottom section closed: Use one of the supplied bolts to secure the bottom part of the Repair Kit.

4. Brace the broken sections (Crucial Step): Insert the second screw (from the Repair Kit) on the other side. This screw must pass from the top of the perch, through the Repair Kit bracket, and thread into the bottom of the other broken bracket.

5. Tighten this second bolt, ensuring that all the broken parts are now securely braced together and the master cylinder is fixed firmly to the handlebar.
