Bendix For 2007-2019

Replacement starter drive (Bendix) for KTM models, 2007-2019. The Bendix is the part that engages the starter motor with the flywheel to crank the engine, so when it wears out you'll notice a starter that spins without turning the engine over, grinding or clicking on start-up, or an unreliable electric start.

Fitting a new starter drive restores positive engagement every time you hit the button. It's a far cheaper repair than replacing the whole starter motor, and a good idea to fit during a starter service while the cover is already off.

Installation Tips

• Inspect the starter motor and the flywheel gear teeth while the cover is off, as damage there will shorten the life of a new Bendix.
• Clean the shaft and apply a light film of grease where the drive slides, if specified in your workshop manual.
• Test the electric start a few times after fitting before heading out.
